Residual waste
Residual waste cannot be used to make new products. It is burnt, and the energy is used to generate heat and electricity.
The residual waste bin is for items such as nappies, sanitary products for women, wet wipes, broken crockery, vacuum cleaner bags, cigarettes, etc.
Toxic and hazardous waste is not to be thrown into the residual waste bin.
